Follow this checklist to ensure a smooth ride.

1. Check the requirements.
   
   
2. Install DirectX 9.0 Runtime or later.
   
   
3. Install Windows Media Player 7.1 or later.
   Note: You do not need to install Windows Media Player 7.1 if you are running Windows XP.
   
   
4. If you would like to use the TV features of ShowShifter, install the correct drivers for your video capture card. These should be available from the manufacturer's website (the ones that came with your card may not be the latest). For further help, read our instructions on installing new capture card drivers.
   Note: If you have already installed ShowShifter, make sure you restart ShowShifter from the 'ShowShifter in safe mode' option (Start>Programs>ShowShifter>ShowShifter in safe mode) after installing new drivers. Starting in Safe Mode prevents ShowShifter detecting your old drivers.
   
   
5. After installing ShowShifter, read 'Readme.html' which contains lots of helpful tips. This file will be displayed in your browser when the ShowShifter installer finishes.
   
   

ShowShifter is available as a single multi-language release. After download, installation and reboot, ShowShifter will be fully operational for a limited time. When you buy your registration code and enter the registration details in ShowShifter, the time limit will be lifted and your version of ShowShifter will work indefinitely.
